TabiPlanner has no accounts and no server. Everything you type stays on your device and is never sent to us. The free version of the Android app shows banner advertisements, which use an advertising identifier; that is the one thing that leaves your device automatically, it is set out in section 3, and the paid unlock removes it.
TabiPlanner is developed and operated by Minato Studio ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the TabiPlanner mobile app. Questions? Contact us at minatostudio26@gmail.com.
This Policy covers the TabiPlanner Android application. TabiPlanner has no hosted web version, no user accounts and no backend service of any kind. There is no server that receives your trips, and we operate no infrastructure that could receive them.
We collect nothing about you, and we never see your trip. The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking pixels and no telemetry of our own. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any account details, because there is no account to create.
Advertising is the exception, and it is worth stating plainly. The free version of the Android app displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. To select and measure those ads, Google may collect device level information including an advertising identifier, IP address, device model, operating system and approximate location derived from that IP address. That collection is carried out by Google under its own privacy policy, not this one. We receive none of it, and we are not told anything about you as an individual.
Two limits on this that we hold ourselves to. Nothing you enter into TabiPlanner is passed to the ad network: not your dates, activities, locations, costs, notes or booking references. And ad content is restricted to a Teen rating or lower, because the app is available to people aged 13 and over.
You can reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device's own privacy settings, which applies to every app on the device rather than only this one. Buying the one off unlock removes the advertisements from this app for good.
The trip information you enter, including dates, activities, locations, costs, notes and booking references, is written only to private storage on your own device. It is never transmitted to us and we have no ability to read it.
Because we receive no information about you, we do not analyse or profile anyone. The data you enter is used solely by the app on your device, to show you your trip. The advertising described in section 3 is handled entirely by Google and earns us a share of the revenue; it does not give us access to your data.
We do not sell, rent or disclose personal information to third parties, and we never share the contents of your trip with anyone. Aside from the advertising described in section 3, which is the only automatic case, information leaves the app in three situations and you initiate all three:
Your trips are stored in the application's private storage area on your device, in two independent copies so that a crash or a forced close cannot lose your work. This storage is not readable by other applications on your device.
TabiPlanner makes no network requests to us, and never sends your trip anywhere. It is designed to work with no signal, and every feature except the advertisements keeps working offline.
The free version does contact Google's ad network to fetch a banner, as described in section 3. That is the only automatic network request the app makes. With no signal it simply shows no advertisement and nothing else changes.
Android's own backup service may copy the app's files to your personal Google account, in the same way it does for other apps. That is a feature of Android which you control in your device settings, and we have no access to it.
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Your data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Android settings, deletes it. Export your trip first if you want to keep a copy, since no copy is held anywhere else for us to restore from.
Privacy laws in various countries give you rights to access, correct, export and delete your personal information. With TabiPlanner these rights are satisfied directly and immediately: you already hold all of your data, you can edit it at any time, you can export it in full to CSV, JSON or Excel whenever you like, and you can delete it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling. No request to us is required, and we could not action one, because we hold nothing about you.
TabiPlanner is a trip planning tool intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. It is rated for people aged 13 and over, and the ad content rating is capped accordingly, as described in section 3. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone of any age.
The app can be used anywhere, and every feature except the advertisements works offline. Because no data is transmitted to us, there is no international transfer of your personal information to us to disclose. Requests to Google's ad network are handled by Google on its own infrastructure, under its policy.
The free version of the app includes the Google AdMob advertising service described in section 3. Separately, TabiPlanner can hand a location you have typed to the Google Maps app, and can hand a file you have exported to whatever app you choose to share it with. Those applications are operated by other parties under their own terms and privacy policies. If you purchase the optional paid unlock, that transaction is processed by Google Play, and Google's terms and privacy policy apply to it. We never see or receive your payment details.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
