Who you're dealing with

Minato Studio is a sole-operator software studio based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It publishes the apps described on this site: TabiLog, TabiPace and TabiPlanner.

This website

This site exists to describe the apps. It doesn't sell anything, doesn't take sign-ups, and doesn't provide the apps themselves. Descriptions here are written in good faith but an app in active development may differ from what's described, and nothing on this site is a binding commitment to ship a particular feature on a particular date.

Using the apps

You may use the apps for your own personal and family travel. In return, you agree not to:

• Attempt to access another household's data, or any part of a system you weren't given access to.
• Interfere with, overload or probe the service, or attempt to bypass rate limits or authentication.
• Use the apps to store anything unlawful, or to do anything unlawful.
• Resell or redistribute the apps as your own.

Access can be withdrawn if any of the above happens. For a studio this size that's a judgement call made by a person, not an automated system, and you'll be told why.

Your account and your household

A TabiLog household shares one set of credentials among the people you invite. That's a deliberate design choice, and it means everyone in your household can see and change everything in it. Choose who you share credentials with accordingly, and keep them to yourself otherwise.

Creating a household requires an invite code. Please don't circulate it beyond the people it was meant for.

Your data, and keeping your own copies

Your data is yours. You can export it at any time, and delete all of it at any time, without asking anyone.

Please keep your own backups of anything you'd be upset to lose. This is a small studio without a support roster, and while the apps are built to be durable, no promise of continuous availability or guaranteed recovery is being made. Export is right there for exactly this reason.

No professional advice

None of these apps provide financial, medical or travel advice.

• TabiLog records what you tell it about money. It is not financial advice and not an accounting system of record.
• TabiPace models physical pacing based on limits you enter. It is not medical advice, it is not a clinical tool, and it does not know anything about anyone's actual health. Where it handles medication it only shifts the times you entered into destination local time. It will never suggest a dose or a change. Those questions are for a doctor or pharmacist.
• TabiPlanner records the trip you planned. It does not verify opening hours, prices, bookings or travel conditions.

Decisions about your family's safety, health and money remain yours.

Availability

Apps may be updated, changed or discontinued. If an app is going to be discontinued, reasonable notice will be given here and on the updates page, with enough time to export your data. Apps designed to run on your own device will keep working on that device regardless.

Liability

The apps are provided as they are, without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent the law allows, Minato Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the apps, including lost data, missed bookings or travel disruption.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Where liability can be limited rather than excluded, it is limited to resupplying the service or the cost of doing so.

Intellectual property

The apps, this website, and the names TabiLog, TabiPace, TabiPlanner and Minato Studio, along with their logos and artwork, belong to Minato Studio. The content you put into the apps remains entirely yours.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and the change is noted on the updates page.
